Announcing Richmond Active Recreation & Sport Funding Program

The Richmond Sports Council and City of Richmond Active Recreation & Sport Fund helps young Richmond residents (up to 18) to participate in Richmond's active recreation and sports programs where financial barriers impact inclusion.

Our goal: To help young Richmond people participate by improving access to active recreation and sport programs.

Eligible programs include:
* Organized activities in Richmond, with an instructor or coach, running on a set schedule, at least weekly.
* Camps and active recreation programs in Richmond, like dance, martial arts, cheer and sports.

If you are interested in this program:
1. Please see the Program Guidelines for full details
2. Complete the Application Form available here.
3. Send the application and supporting documents to recreationsportfund.rsc@gmail.com . All applications will be kept confidential.

For more information, please contact the fund by email at recreationsportfund.rsc@gmail.com or at richmondsportscouncil@gmail.com

Richmond Sports Wall of Fame
In 2005, Richmond Sports Council proposed to the City that Richmond institute a Sports Hall of Fame to celebrate the successes and contributions of members of the Richmond sports community to our city. This dream came to fruition in 2015 through the "Richmond Sports Wall of Fame" at the Olympic Oval. Sports Council oversees the Nominating Committee, and encourages our sport community to nominate members deserving recognition. Click for more information.
